To create a complex structure of document groups by hand can be a lot of work.

Its not well known, that the structure of document groups can be predefined in the objectmanager.

Solution: (public)
The structure of nested document groups can be predefined in the objectmanager.

That´s the way:

1. Open the Objectmanager (e.g. in Engineer).
2. Navigate to Objecttype "Document Group" (under Common).
3. Open the Library "Standard" and select the object "Document group".
4. Copy the object by clicking the command "Create new default object":

5. Edit the copied object.
6. Rename the document group by changing the value in the properties "Object Description" and "Work Directory"  (e.g. "Drawings").
7. To add a new document group below "Drawings" for example "PI-Diagram", open in the current window the Object Manger ("Insert with ObjectManager"):

8. Select the default document group "Document Group" and add it to your "Drawings" by using the command "Insertion and editing properties":
9. Switch to the view "Structure view" to see the subobjects:

10. Create your structure by repeating the steps 7+8.
11. Afterwards insert the document group "Drawings" to the project.
12. In the copy dialog box select "Copy subordered objects", select all subordered document groups and click two times OK:
